Happily Ever After Performance
On Thursday the 29th of October we were visited by ‘Carp Productions’ who did a fantastic performance for us called ‘Happily Ever After’. It was very, very funny! We were laughing all the way through the show!
We all got to join in with singing and dancing, and some Foundation Children got to join in the show!
The Little Red Hen
This term we are finding out- ‘Why do people tell Stories?’ We will be reading and comparing fairytales and Aboriginal Dreamtime stories.
Last week our ‘book of the week’ was ‘The Little Red Hen’. We baked bread, just like the Hen did in the story! We also made our own Hens using paper plates.
Learning about addition
In Foundation E we have been learning about strategies to solve addition problems. Some of the strategies we can use include:
– counting all
– counting on
– making a model
We played a game where we used our 10 frame to make a model- check out these pictures!
Hot Chip Lunch!
We had the best attendance in the Foundation area for the month of August. We were rewarded with a HOT CHIP LUNCH! Delicious!
Aquarium Excursion
Lucky us, we visited the Aquarium! We had the BEST time. Some of our favourite animals from the aquarium: stingrays, penguins, star fish, sword fish, shark, turtle, penguin and crocodile!
Mathematicians in the making!
We love playing maths games at school. We are learning to be mathematicians! This means we
– think hard about problems
– find short cuts
– solve problems in lots of different ways.
Here are some pics of us getting busy with Maths!

Our first excursion!
We had a fantastic time at IMAX theatre, enjoying our first ever excursion! We watched the film ‘Flight of the Butterflies’ and wore 3D glasses. We played on the playground and rode the bus home.
